Welcome to my blog.

International families face potentially challenging questions with every important transition in family life. Engagement, marriage, birth of a child, adoption, moving abroad, acquisition of a new nationality
separation, divorce, retirement,
succession, many of these events are often interrelated.

Decision-making is easier when we feel we are well informed.

For a member of an international family, this may mean having information about the laws of your native country and of the country where you are now living, or planning to move to.

You want to know what law applies to your situation. Sometimes, some laws of two countries, or more, may apply.

I hope this blog will provide you with information you will find useful in regard to
some of the important events in your family life.
